FRP-BC is evolving, growing and hiring! We are hiring for a brand new position, Administrative Support Coordinator.

Job Purpose: The Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for providing essential administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the FRP-BC virtual office. This role will assist FRP-BC staff, board and members in achieving the agency’s objectives while maintaining a organized approach.

About Us: FRP-BC is a membership organization dedicated to promoting and supporting community-based Family Resource Programs (FRPs) in British Columbia. These programs serve as community hubs that enhance and support the development of healthy families with children from prenatal to 6 years old. As part of our mission to support FRPs in their capacity to support families, we provide innovative and current training for staff and management, along with resources spanning Early Years, Food Justice, Funding, and more. Additionally, we foster collaborative learning through our Community of Practice—a space where individuals with shared interests exchange knowledge and best practices. Our approach is guided by principles of community, connectivity, quality service, equity, and integrity.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

General Duties:

· Maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient virtual base for FRP-BC.

· Represent FRP-BC professionally through office communications.

· Assist in updating social media, newsletters, and event notices with content created by the Engagement Lead.

· Assist in organizing virtual and in-person events such as training sessions and networking opportunities.

· Maintain records and provide basic information support to the FRP-BC Staff and Board of Directors.

· Keep track of office-related purchases/invoices.

Membership Service Management:

· Manage email lists and maintain the membership database.

· Process payments and membership fees.

· Oversee registration for training and events.

· Assist in coordinating the logistics of Annual General Meeting (AGM) and regular member events.

Database Management:

· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the membership database.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated administrative experience, including familiarity with virtual office tools and efficiency.

· Experience in event planning and customer service.

· Proficiency in word processing and computer skills, including online systems and databases.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team, including a structured workday from home.

· Ability to travel occasionally.

· Interest in the early years/family services sector.

· Demonstrated ability to positively receive and implement direction from supervisors/managers

Experience with the following technological applications considered an asset:

· MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

· Email marketing software, preferably MailerLite.

· Video conferencing platforms like Zoom Meetings.

· Social media platforms.

Starting wage: 25.05/hr (CSSEA Administrative Assistant 3 classification)

Hours per week: 16 hours, days to be negotiated.
