Victoria Gathering: Visit & All-Team Meeting

This month, our Engagement Lead, Delanie, visited Vancouver Island to connect with FRPs and our staff. A heartfelt thank you to Erin, her colleagues, and families from the Sooke Family Resource Society for welcoming us into their beautiful space and sharing the incredible work they do! From family support and play groups to their food cupboard and strong community networks, it was inspiring to learn more about their meaningful impact. We deeply appreciated the opportunity to strengthen our connection while hearing more about their ongoing successes and challenges and exploring potential opportunities for support.

We recently held our first in-person FRP-BC team meeting, where we mapped out plans for an exciting year ahead. Here’s a preview of what’s to come:

  • The launch of the Early Years Wages Working Group, with additional initiatives set to emerge from it.
  • ED/Managers Training this Spring, designed to support leadership development.
  • Frontline Training planned for Early Summer, aimed at strengthening organizations with minimal barriers to participation.
  • Partnering with members on the first phase of potential impact research for our sector – shaping the future together.
  • Gathering member input for the Community of Practice – we want to hear from you!

We’re excited about the direction we’re heading and look forward to sharing more of these initiatives as they unfold. Stay tuned for more announcements!
