Strategic Plan Launch

The FRP-BC Strategic Plan is ready and complete! We trust that members, partners, and Board representatives will see their input reflected throughout it.

Our Strategic Pillars acronym is CRAG — Convene, Resource, Advocate, and Good Governance. Who doesn’t love another acronym?

We have also refined our Vision to better reflect the work our sector is doing and the impact of Family Resource Programs across communities.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, ideas, and feedback during this process. It was an incredible opportunity to listen to our sector.

We heard clearly about the importance of community and peer connection, responsive support during changing and challenging times, and opportunities for organizations to share resources, tools, and promising practices.

Not surprisingly, we also heard a strong need for continued advocacy, stronger sector visibility, research that helps demonstrate the impact of Family Resource Programs, and support in advancing stable, values-aligned funding during an increasingly challenging time for many organizations.

Even during the planning process, these conversations helped shape concrete actions already underway. This includes the development of Family Resource Program Week to increase sector visibility, more relational member renewal conversations that are helping us gather meaningful provincial snapshot data, and the development of a CRM system to better house, track, and share information that can support FRP-BC and our members.

These themes directly shaped the Strategic Plan and will guide FRP-BC’s work over the coming years, including how we set priorities, allocate resources, and measure impact across the sector. We are committed to being accountable to you.
