October 2021 Training Event- Follow Up and Photos

Last week FRP-BC hosted our first in-person training event in several years. We had 29 members from agencies across the province join us in New Westminster for two days full of learning and reflection on cultural safety, inclusion, and purpose-driven work within the early years. FRP-BC’s Member Calls have really created a community of practice over the past year and a half and it was a treat to see so many familiar faces in person. We were reminded that the unique comradery and discussion that happens in person is rejuvenating and needed.

FRP-BC also had an in-person board meeting and strategic plan workshop. FRP-BC Provincial Director Tara Nargang was able to meet with some local Family Place Executive Directors and get a firsthand look at their welcoming program sites.

We are busy planning various trainings for next year and there will be some new collaborations, both in person if possible and online. Stay tuned!
