Community of Practice Update: Striving to Nourish & Thrive

We were deeply excited to host our first Nourish and Thrive gathering last month and want to extend a heartfelt appreciation to those who joined the conversation!

The session was filled with open sharing of enthusiasm, thoughts and ideas for shaping this emergent collaborative network!

Some highlights from our initial gathering included:

  • Members sharing their excitement for a consistent opportunity to press pause, come together, collaborate and learn from one another.
  • Discussions of possible future CoP session topics, including strategies for deep listening within our community organizations, funding and grant writing best practices, opportunities for community advocacy/getting political & more!
  • A consensus that the network will evolve through time alongside the interests, needs, and connections of all those engaged in our CoP.

Our next session will be on Thursday, February 15th from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. The focus for this conversation as inspired by our November training with food justice activist, Paul Taylor, will be: Just Food Access: Centering Dignity & Joy in Food Programming (Part 1).

Join us to discuss successes, challenges, and opportunities around centering justice in community food initiatives. As always, we welcome new & familiar faces to Nourish & Thrive with us!
