Community of Practice Updates

Our May Nourish & Thrive gathering centered community care and thoughtful conversation around common food (in)justice experiences, narratives, and responses within our diverse communities. Thank you to all those who attended this and previous sessions!

In June, we will host our last Nourish & Thrive gathering before a planned pause over summer break. We will return to our monthly CoP conversations in October – please stay tuned to our newsletter & attend our September AGM for opportunities to help inform our fall sessions!

Thursday, June 20th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Sharing the Wealth: Community Discussions on Creative Funding Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices

This month, we’re shaking things up and starting with a member spotlight featuring Dana Osiowy, the dynamic Executive Director of New West Family Place (NWFP) since 2017! Dana will kick off our discussions by sharing her relationship and narrative-centered approaches to community funding and donations.

We’ll then hold space for questions, encourage sharing of diverse funding experiences and best practices, and engage in collective brainstorming around creative funding opportunities to support our communities to nourish & thrive.

Stay tuned to our newsletter announcements and socials for further more information on this month’s session as we are hoping to kick it off this with an exciting member spotlight!

For any questions or additional information, please contact our Engagement Lead, Delanie, at engagement@frpbc.ca.

We can’t wait to welcome new and familiar faces to Nourish & Thrive with us!
