MLA Connection Campaign Update: Building Momentum Together

We’re excited to share that our FRP MLA Connection Campaign is gaining traction across the province! To date, at least 13 agencies have reached out to their local MLAs as part of this coordinated effort!

Following our recent meetings in Victoria with Ministers and recognition in the Legislature, this is a key time to keep the momentum going. Minister Wickens acknowledged the importance of the MLA Campaign, noting that this proactive, community-level engagement helps ensure FRPs remain visible and supported across B.C.

Let’s act together and make sure the government and the public hear the strength of our sector!

Get involved by:

  • Taking the first step and reaching out to your local MLAs
  • Following-up if you haven’t heard back or keeping the conversation going by sending a thank you email
  • Amplifying key shared messages with other government representatives, funders & in community

Our MLA Toolkit is designed to make outreach simple, with key messages, templates, and resources. You can also reach out to us directly for support, and we’ll be following up with those who expressed interest in sharing and/or receiving support around connecting with your local representatives.

Grab the toolkit, reach out to your MLA, and let’s make some noise. We are so much stronger when we speak together.
