Addressing Funding & Wage Concerns: Join the Action Network

Across BC, members are raising urgent concerns about sustainability, wages, and funding, with a clear theme: we can’t keep doing more with less.

Throughout March and April, we are connecting with many of our nearly 80 member agencies to better understand the challenges folks are facing, from shifting funding models with stagnant contract dollars to rising service demands & more.

These conversations have made it clear: it’s time for collective action. This is why we’re launching the Funding & Wages Action Network, which will focus on:

  • Sharing collective insights & experiences
  • Defining sector-wide priorities
  • Exploring actionable strategies for sustainable funding & meaningful change

Funding & Wages Action Network Launch

NEW DATE: Tuesday, April 29th from 12 PM – 1 PM

Join us for the official launch. We’re bringing in a campaigns and communications specialist with passion and experience in organizing and community building to assist and ensure we make the best use of everyone’s time. We’ll share key themes, concerns, and takeaways from our conversations with members, and introduce this initiative, one that aligns local actions with a coordinated provincial strategy.

Our goal: make decision-makers recognize the essential impacts of our work and to secure sustainable funding for early years programs.

Note: This network goes beyond wages. While equitable compensation remains a core concern, broader funding advocacy is now critical to ensure the long-term sustainability and strength of our sector – particularly amid ongoing political and budgetary uncertainty.
