Early Years Disrupted & Reimagined: Connecting Data & Action

Thursday, November 4th from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Join us for a critical FRP-BC member call highlighting key research and the opportunity to have a voice in shaping early years action. We’ll explore how recent Early Development Instrument (EDI) trends reflect the realities many of you have shared from your communities, and then help shape collective action and support for BC’s families by contributing your insights to First Call’s renewed Early Childhood Development Framework for Action.
🔹 Kate Buium from UBC’s Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP) will share new data — revealing how the developmental health of kindergarten-aged children has shifted before and after the pandemic, and the social and economic influences shaping family life across BC.
🔹 First Call: Child and Youth Advocacy Society will invite your insights as they renew their Early Childhood Development Framework for Action — setting the vision and calls to action needed to better support BC’s young children and families. The updated Framework will include calls to action for government and the public to prioritize the early years and strengthen awareness of their importance.
Don’t miss this chance to hear up-to-date trends, share your experiences, and add your voice to provincial advocacy and sector representation.
