    Benchmark Quality Indicators

    • Engagement with families is based on respect, understanding, compassion and non-judgement.
    • Staff are skilled at identifying strengths and using language that emphasizes those qualities.
    • Staff recognize that the parent is the expert on their child, all parents have strengths, all parents want the best for their child, and that parents want support and affirmation.

    Innovation and Promising Practices

    • Confidential intake forms with family profile, needs and goals are utilized.
    • Staff are trained to offer one to one support and referrals to families when appropriate.
    • Pamphlets and resources are available to inform families of extra supports available.
    • FRP design reflects families’ priorities.
    • FRP is inclusive and flexible to meet the needs of families.
    • FRP is free of charge and there are no barriers to service.
