Big Announcement: Paul Taylor to Join Our Annual Training in November

It is with unabashed excitement that we announce an incredible addition to the FRP-BC annual training lineup! Say hello to Paul Taylor, a long-time activist, non-profit leader, educator and media commentator.
Paul’s mission? To show us how food justice is at the very heart of FRP’s shared goal of nurturing healthy families and communities by sharing some of his extensive knowledge, experience and reflections with us. Plus, he’s all set to facilitate a dynamic Q&A session that promises to be nothing short of inspiring!
Meet Paul Taylor: Paul served as the Executive Director of FoodShare Toronto, Canada’s largest food justice organization from 2017 to 2023 where his leadership was consistently recognized for inspiring the adoption of equity-focused people policies and practices in organizations well beyond Foodshare.
His experience further includes Executive Director roles at Gordon Neighbourhood House and the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House. He is also an eloquent writer of op-eds on leadership, the non-profit sector, and various social issues and was named one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 in 2020!
We’re thrilled to be taking a page from our listening campaign report and recommendations through both spotlighting a community leader in food justice and creating space for conversations highlighting best practices in community-based food programs!
So, mark your calendars and join us – in person or online – for an enlightening session filled with learning, questions, and connections. We are starting an interest list for in-person attendance.
*Please note: There will be some travel subsidies available and depending on overall numbers, there may be a limit on the number of employees eligible to attend in person per agency.
