Advocating for Fair Wages Across the Early Years

On February 6th, we hosted a member call to share key themes and opportunities for action from our recent Early Years Wages Survey. A heartfelt thank you to the 17 member organizations that joined us! If you couldn’t attend, please note that you are still welcome and encouraged to be part of this work moving forward!

Fair wages across the early years sector are crucial, and sustainable change will take collective effort. We invite all organizations to get involved—whether by joining our working group, sharing key insights with your networks, or bringing forward your own ideas.

Next Steps & Ways to Get Involved:

  • Resources Available: Presentation slides and speaker notes highlighting key survey themes around sector wages, funding challenges, hiring & retention cycles, sector inequities and more, will be available soon on the FRP-BC member portal.
  • Join the FRP-BC Wages Working Group: Share your interest in joining our new, member-driven working group to support collective wage advocacy efforts. Strong coordination and support to be provided by FRP-BC. Possible initiatives may include network shaping and building, further research, MLA engagement & more.
  • Help Shape Our Advocacy Work: Have ideas? Want to participate? Reach out to engagement@frpbc.ca to help shape our next steps.

The conversation doesn’t stop here. By working together, we can push for fair wages and a stronger, more sustainable early years sector. Stay tuned for updates, and please reach out to us at any time with questions and/or to get involved!
